"Portrait of a Painter - Willi Bambach"

"About: Willi Bambach

Born in Saarbruecken close to the border of France where he was raised during the 1960´s and 70´s, Willi Bambach moved to Berlin in 1989. After a 20 year career in the tech industry, Bambach devoted himself exclusively to the arts in 2008. He was discovered by renowned curator and gallerist Patrizia Charlotte Infantellina in early 2009, who shortly thereafter contracted him to be the resident artist for her gallery Infantellina-Contemporary in Berlin/Gendarmenmarkt. Today Willi Bambach belongs to a group of leading emerging artists from Berlin. Since 2009 he has exhibited in Venice, Paris, Berlin and New York City as well as in Brussels, Palermo and Miami in both group- and solo-exhibitions.

His artworks emphasise Conceptual-Abstraction

To quote the artist:
"There is a reason why, colors are there where they are on my paintings and that reason is the concept. It lies beyond the creation of the artwork during which I gradually become a tool to the concept which, at the same time empowers my "partner/assistant" Mother Nature (with its "subsidiaries" wind, temperature and gravity) into taking over the lead-artist role. Therefore one might conclude that the artworks resulting are paintings like nature would paint."

Besides his appearances at exhibitions and art-fairs, over 25,000 followers on different social-media-platforms enjoy his publications worldwide - with the majority being located in the USA, Western Europe and India. Most of them may be seen on Bambach´s main blog:
